About the event
Danielle’s Bio: Danielle Files, PT, MPT lives in PA Texas with her husband and three children. She has been a physical therapist for 16 years and has post graduate specialty training in pelvic health physical therapy. She is the founder of Elevate Pelvic Health located in Beaumont off of Delaware Rd. Elevate was founded with the mission to offer holistic pelvic health to women in all stages of life. Her interest in women’s health and specifically postpartum recovery was fueled by personal experience in difficulty returning to fitness postpartum. She loves helping women reconnect with their postpartum and perimenopausal bodies. Elevate is a safe space to discuss embarrassing and often taboo topics like peeing when you jump on a trampoline, mommy tummy, and pain with sex. It is a place to find solutions other than surgery and medication that are practical and build resilience in the body. Danielle is not a yoga expert but often uses yoga poses as therapeutic interventions to help treat pelvic floor/core dysfunction and pain.
Topics of Discussion 1.How to engage the core and pelvic floor during exercise - am I doing a kegel correctly? - strengthening poses like down dog, tree, warrior 2.
